Great Bear Restoration maintains a cooperative teaming agreement with S&K Tribal Forestry of Ronan, Montana. By working together, we are able to bring an additional 50,000 square feet of growing space, large-scale seed laboratory, and decades of experience in growing native seedlings to your project.
About Great Bear Restoration
Great Bear Restoration is a small-business dedicated to the promotion, practice, and advancement of restoration ecology. We work with a range of clients including government entities, corporations, and individual landowners. Our projects range from multi-million dollar land restoration efforts to homeowner initiated projects to improve the environment. Our goal is to help you do successful restoration.
Our Services
- Contract growing and wholesale production of native plants and sods
- Seed collection, cleaning, testing, and storage
- Consultation, including baseline vegetation surveys, planning, monitoring, and research

Our Facility
Great Bear Restoration has a state-of-the-art 9,000 square foot greenhouse facility located in Hamilton, Montana. We have the capacity to produce over 1,500,000 10-cubic inch seedlings annually and 26-acres of land available for EcoSod and large container plant production. At an elevation of 3,500 feet in Montana, our plants are cold hardy and adapted to the harshest of sites. Our seed laboratory has full seed cleaning capabilities and cold storage to ensure your seed is viable and stored correctly.
